Daniel has 14 years of experience helping clients achieve business goals through strategic design and research. Daniel is the former manager of User Interface Design for Samsung's Design Lab in Los Angeles, CA where he was responsible for mobile telecommunications products in the U.S. market. He planned and executed research that has helped Samsung compete in multiple markets globally and designed breakthrough products resulting in multiple U.S. patents.
Prior to Samsung, Daniel worked in the medical industry where he designed products that help individuals with chronic illness self-manage their conditions. He contributed to work that was awarded grant endowments by the U.S. National Institutes of Health and participated in efficacy testing to evaluate the products that he designed. His white paper, Positive User Experience and Medical Adherence, was presented at the Designing Pleasurable Products Conference and discusses links between interaction design in medical products and the health outcome of the patients who use those products.
Daniel has been awarded several honors for his design and leadership, including Samsung Telecommunications President's Award, IDSA's IDEA Award, and five U.S. patents. He is also a visual artist and actively shows his mixed media paintings and sculpture.
